Mixer systems made by THALETEC are based
on a technology that was developed in the
course of many years of experience and tradition.
Like our reactors and tanks, the mixer systems
are coated with high-resistance technical
glass. Our engineers calculate your optimum
mixer system on the basis of your material
data in order to provide you with the guarantee
to obtain the best possible performance
and optimal mixing results from your system.
Specifically adapted calculation software
and the latest manufacturing processes ensure
reproducible processes and a precise fit
of all components.
For the most important components of the
mixer system motor, gearbox and mechanical
seal we rely on the products made by renowned
German manufacturers. Made in Germany!
THALETEC offers a wide variety of mixer
systems from which we choose the optimum
for your requirements.

TRD 125K to 250K
For small reactors with a nominal
volume of up to 1,000 liters, short drive
designs with a jacketed gearbox support
and assembly holes that are covered with
protective perforated plates are available.
The gearbox connection is provided by an
intermediate flange; the mixer and gear
shafts are linked by a sleeve coupling to
DIN 115.

TRD 300S to 900 S
This design provides for the lateral
removal of the mechanical seal without removing
the gearbox. The distance between the mixer
shaft and the gear shaft corresponds to
DIN 28161, therefore, all mechanical seal
assemblies to DIN 28138 can be attached
to the system. Both shaft ends are linked
by a special THALETEC sleeve coupling.
All drives size 300 or larger are equipped
with a mixer support that is attached to
the mixer system flange and used to hold
the mixer in place outside the reactor during
assembly works.

TRD 300K to 900K
For nominal volumes of 1,600 liters
or more, short drive designs with welded
tubular feet gearbox supports are provided.
In addition to high stability, they ensure
optimum accessibility for assembly work.
The mixer and gear shafts of these drives
are again linked by a sleeve coupling to
DIN 115.
A protective cage made of perforated plate
has been fitted around the rotating parts.
The mechanical seal can be removed upwards,
and the intermediate flange and gearbox
have to be detached from the gearbox support
for this purpose.
Modular system
TRD drives have been constructed
in modular design, therefore, the various
drive types can be combined with any desired
type of gearbox and motor arrangement (using
motor adapters, belt drives, bevel gear).
Shaft seal / Lubrication system
Compact units to DIN 28138 with
complete lubrication systems are used:
- liquid-lubricated mechanical seal with
thermosiphon system, with circulating
pump and temperature sensor in the seal
housing, if necessary
- gas film lubricated mechanical seal
with barrier gas system
- GMP-compliant or sterile mechanical
seal with rotating mating ring for special
shaft end and mixer nozzle in split flange
design
- shaft lip seal
The mechanical seal can be replaced
using the THALEMAIL-QuickXange rapid exchange
system
The advantages of the THALETEC
high-performance mixer systems at a glance:
- Motor arrangement according to customer
requirements: in-line, perpendicular to
the mixer axis, or suspended in parallel
to the mixer axis (with belt drive)
- use of commercially available gearboxes
- extremely good accessibility of the
mechanical seal and the coupling because
the mixer system is provided in an open,
three-leg frame construction
- coupling halves remain within the drive
stand and do not have to be lifted out
when the coupling screws have been removed
- mixer shaft is mechanically stable
at all times and positively fastened in
order to ensure that the mixer shaft cannot
slip down and fall into the apparatus
- due to the strict observation of the
relevant DIN standards, the mixer system
is universally exchangeable and can be
attached at any time to DIN reactors
- shaft seals of all renowned manufacturers
can be used without any restrictions,
such as wet-running, dry-running contacting
and gas film lubricated mechanical seals
- Additional units can be easily attached
to the drive stand at any time
