The RAS Glass quality used for many applications in chemical apparatus construction has a dark blue color. This glass is highly resistant in the acid pH range and withstands even higher pH values in most applications. This glass type could also be referred to as the "workhorse" in chemical apparatus construction because it is mainly used for general applications without any specific requirements concerning the cleaning ease, or as a universal glass lining for storage tanks, receivers, columns and other apparatus.
